The DELZONE ZO-301 was manufactured for decades.  It was discontinued a few years ago, so let us guide you into a modern spa ozonator that fits your needs.

There are four possible replacements for the DELZONE ZO-301.  Since the ZO-301 was 120V, we can narrow the product offerings to those only available in 120V.  We will list started with the best replacement choice:

MCD-50 (choice #1).  Replace your ZO-301 with an MCD-50 if:

  • Your spa is 400-1000 gallons
  • Your spa is smaller than 400 and only runs 1-2 hours a day
  • The ZO-301 gave you good water, but you want even more chemical reduction with easier water balancing experience
  • Renewable technology is important to you.  DEL Ozone offers a Renewal Kit (9-0743-01) to update your MCD-50
CDS-16 (choice #2).  Replace your ZO-301 with a CDS-16 if:
  • Your spa is 400 gallons or less and runs more than 2 hours a day
  • You were happy with the water quality of the ZO-301 and believe you can live with a little less ozone
  • You want the most affordable ozone generator that can replace your ZO-301
  • Renewable technology is important to you.  DEL Ozone offers a Renewal Kit (9-0720-01) to update your CDS-16
T3 (choice #3).  Replace your ZO-301 with a T3 if:
  • Your spa is 400-1000 gallons
  • Your spa is smaller than 400 and only runs 1-2 hours a day
  • The ZO-301 gave you good water, but you want even more chemical reduction with easier water balancing experience
  • Renewable technology is not that important to you - T3 is not Renewable
  • You'd rather pay less for the same output as the MCD-50 (above)
  • Note:  T3 does not work with Balboa Spa Packs and, therefore, many spa dealers don't sell it.  Overstock on the T3 means great pricing for you
Spa Eclipse (choice #4).  Replace your ZO-301 with a Spa Eclipse if:
  • You already bought one.  If you didn't already buy one, go with the CDS-16.  The two units are identical in CD chip techology and ozone output, both offer a Renewal Kit (9-0720-01), but the Spa Eclipse is Dual Voltage which costs more to manufacture and to purchase
  • In our opinion, there is really no reason to go with the Spa Eclipse unless you found one at a better price than the CDS-16
