Total alkalinity in hot tub water is important, creating a buffer in the water so it can resist any acids that may be added to the spa water (many of the chemicals used in spa treatment are mild acids). Apart from hardness, alkalinity is one of the most important water balance adjustments to be made. The total alkalinity acts as a control to the pH. The pH cannot be properly adjusted if the total alkalinity is out of the suggested range (80-140 ppm).

SeaKlear Spa Alkalinity Up is a granular product used to raise the total alkalinity of spa water. Easy to use, simply:

Add 1 oz. (2 tablespoons) SeaKlear Spa Alkalinity Up to spa water
Allow water to circulate for 30 minutes
Retest water and repeat steps 1 and 2 until the desired level is reached
